im still reading through every single comment and its wild to see how many people are feeling the exact same pressure on their bills as me. im putting together all these stories to show the city council exactly what this rate increase is doing to our families.

the momentum behind this is honestly incredible and shows how fed up everyone is with these water bills. city hall cant keep ignoring us when the pressure is building this fast.

Are we being punished because they are now waiving the impact fee for the second water irrigation meter that they should have never charged in the first place.
how do you expect people on a fixed income to afford such an outrageous increase??
Irrigation water went from $4.67/1000 gallons to $13.02/1000 gallons in less than a year.
i think the sewer rates especially are off. lol at what lee county charges, then look at city. The water quality is so poor from city we have to have multiple filters including whole house just to avoid chlorine smell, however water still riddled w chloramine. It's awful!
This recent rate increase was unbelievable! What you have done to calculate new rates for irrigation meters alone is criminal. My irrigation rates have nearly doubled! The water rates here were high to begin with, now they are just way over the top. You really need to do something to correct this injustice!

the water rates are too high in Fort Myers. I would like to know whether the city sells water to other jurisdictions and at what rate.
