I will admit I have not read the manga yet, but this anime is so touching. Tomoko is a metaphor for everyone dealing with social anxiety. It is growing popular steadily and that itself justifies for a second season. So many lives are touched by this anime!!! Season 2 must be made!!

I don't think it needs another season. The ending was great and perfect if you understood why "it doesn't matter" was repeated like in the beginning at the end, and another season would ruin it the meaning behind it. It be like a "just in case you didn't get it, here's what we meant" kind of thing. If they did make a season 2 it would be interesting to see what direction they would take it because of how perfect the ending already was. And to be honest, a petition on this site really isn't going to change anything. Animation takes time, just because people want it doesn't mean they're gonna get it. Not to mention it's a Japanese animation across seas.
