These filters have been dumped for quite a while now throughout an Indian reservation in North Dakota. These filters can also be radioactive, but regardless they are still dangerous. Children could possibly mistake these "socks" as toys and this could cause so many children and even adults to eventually become sick. The carelessness of the disposal should be stopped as soon as possible, but until this is done the filters should be cleaned up and disposed of properly. The filters have been found in many places, including on the side of the road, fields, and garbage containers.
