Mental health treatment is very important, and needs to be treated as such straight from the gate. Let's not ignore the situation until it becomes too late- any support these students can get would be a great preventative measure!

Time to stop sweeping mental illness under the rug! Let these teens have their club to help each other!

I feel that this would be a step forward for our youth. I've suffered with depression since my early teens, and I'm still battling today. I wish I could have had the help from my high school that I desperately needed, but was forced to look elsewhere. These young adults need their thoughts and voices heard about what they're going through. The world is a tough place, and it's not getting any easier... why not lend a hand to our future's mental health?

This is a great idea for every school at every grade level. Many students are dealing with many different things and reaching out for help is a huge step, a scary step for many, but maybe forming such a bond with others will be a healthy start to learn that asking for help and talking about things is a good thing. Good luck on your venture to get approval for this as this is a fantastic idea.
