Warrant and Professional Recognition for Early Years Educators in Malta/Warrant u Rikonoxximent Professjonali għall-Edukaturi tas-Snin Bikrin f’Malta

Early years education is the foundation of every child’s learning journey, and it deserves the same level of recognition and professionalism as primary education. Many of us are already qualified to degree level 6, yet we are still not granted a warrant that reflects our training and responsibilities. This lack of recognition does not align with the importance of the role we perform daily. We are asking for fair acknowledgement through a proper warrant, ensuring Early Years educators are valued equally and able to provide the highest standard of education and care for every child.

Fairness is a must

Warrant for the dedication and responsibility our profession requires. We are committed educators who continuously further our studies and professional development to provide the best learning environment for young children. Our work plays a vital role in children’s growth, learning, and future development, and it is time for our efforts and qualifications to receive the recognition they deserve.

In my opinion the warrant proves that we , kindergarten teachers, have the right qualifications, training, and professional standards required to teach young children safely and properly.

Educators should be recognised through a professional warrant, as this would strengthen their professional identity.

We also equal rights for private childcare centres who are regulated by the government education department!

KGE's should receive a warrant

LSE 's with a degree should also be warranted

This would be great as we should be equally recognised as other teachers.

Every KGE is entitled to have a recognised warrant.

I agree that we the Kge Wil l receive warrant as we teach the young once, from the beginning, letters and numbers and most common things that is valued throughout the next years. I feel that we are not appreciated well with other teachers

It is fair that we will have a warrant, just like primary teachers! What do we have less? NOTHING.
