STOP Mount Pleasant Library’s Current Expansion Plans... Put family’s lives first! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * The planned expansion of our Mount Pleasant Library will endanger the lives of as many as a thousand Ward One working-class families and individuals in case of a fire; and, * the plans limit safe and welcoming access to the library for seniors and neighbors with disabilities. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We, the undersigned, call upon Mayor Adrian Fenty and Councilmembers Jim Graham and Harry Thomas TO STOP this dangerous expansion and redevelop the plans accordingly.

The Dynamos offer this petition to Ward One residents to fulfill a campaign started and guided by Ward One ANC Commissioners and local civic organizations who together are quite concerned about how DCPL has ignored legitimate concerns regarding two key issues - fire safety and welcoming safe access to the library.
