Our kids have nowhere to play anymore because the fields are just dirt and glass. The council keeps promising to fix it but nothing happens. We are sick of waiting.

I think its a good intiative that people can stand up for we are tired of the mist that our minds have been put through to ignore the fact that service delivery is efficient for the empowerment of young individuals.

On this Human Rights Day, 21 March 2025, we, the people of Crystal Park and beyond, gather at the tennis courts to honor the sacrifices of those who fought for justice, equality, and freedom in South Africa. We stand united in our commitment to uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution: dignity, equality, and human rights for all. As we reflect on the progress made, we must not turn a blind eye to the ongoing challenges faced by many in our communities, inequality, unemployment, gender-based violence, and a lack of access to basic services. These issues demand urgent action and collective responsibility. Let this day not only serve as a reminder of our shared history but also as a call to action. Together, we must work towards building a society where every individual, regardless of race, gender, or background, can live with dignity and opportunity. Change begins with us, our voices, our actions, and our resolve. We petition for stronger measures to protect human rights and for the empowerment of marginalized communities. Let us honor the legacy of those who came before us by creating a brighter and more equitable future for generations to come. Human rights are not negotiable, they are the foundation of a just society. Let us stand together, stronger than ever!
