Promises made should be kept

What a time to renege on an obligation to honour those who 100 years ago were prepared to give their lives to serve their country! There is no justification for failure to preserve a memorial paid for by public subscription. The volume of people attending Remembrance days ceremonies each year shows that the public appreciates those who serve, die or are wowunded safeguarding our country, Shame on those who don't.

These men are part of Market Harborough's history. Without their sacrifice, maybe some of us wouldn't be here to remember. This important piece of remembrance must be saved.

If this is destroyed it will show that we feel nothing for those who fought for us.

These men including my own grandfather should be remembered with pride by the people of Harborough for the sacrifices they made.

It is part of the heritage of the town, not to be discarded willy nilly.

How old are they that want it removed?

We shall remember them.

This memorial must be preserved at all costs. It represents the sacrifice given by our local men.

What ever it takes the cost is nothing compared with what they paid for our freedom.

Memorials MUST be saved. It show's such a lack of respect to do otherwise.
