Currently there is an assortment of cycle storage spaces around Peel Park campus, a large percentage of them are not sheltered, neither are they secure. A new covered facility for 48 cycles has been constructed near the Maxwell Building and design and planning for two further secure facilities is currently underway for the Clifford Whitworth Library and Newton Buildings, to be open in early 2013 according to Estates (http://www.estates.salford.ac.uk/page/Cycling) The main reason behind starting this petition is to highlight how many people would actually make use of these new facilities, should they be constructed.
