All animals have the right to live .. how is it sane for the people to intrude into their land destry the forests construct buildings n do farming n when they come back to their own land term them as Intruders or vermin n jus kill them. No way a right method to irradicate the problem

The idea of declaring wild pigs as vermin shows a fundamental misunderstanding of ecology. All species - including pigs - contribute to ecosystem maintenance. And they are objects of scientific study - surely India does not want to destroy its scientific capital?

Could you send me an email to [email protected]. As the Chair of the IUCN/SSC Wild Pig Specialist Group I could send an official letter to the Ministry. There is an initiative to elevate Indian wild boar to species level and we would need to understand what the new regulations would mean for its conservation, as well as the conservation of other species.
