Country Music ? What is it? What ever the definition it’s not what is on Country radio. I understand about demographics and music in Nashville is pointed toward young people that buy recordings which is fine but it is not country music. I resent the fact what is being sold or played on radio as country AIN’T Country. They have stole country’s name. I don’t want this form of music to go away just do not call it Country. Call it Rural Pop, Cowboy Bubble Gum or Cheese for that matter, don’t care. Just don’t call it country. I had the opportunity to talk to the one of these young mega million selling singers, I won’t mention his name, I’m not here to embarrass anyone. I asked him who the King of country music is and he said “Johnny Cash”. Well Johnny is country but the answer is wrong. They don't have a sense of history. So with all that said, I am putting up this petition to see how many folks agree with me. The chance of the powers that be will listen and change is slim to nil. Oh, by the way, the King of country music is Roy Acuff.
