Please can you look more seriously into the benefits of composting, your response to date, that it would have little to no impact on reducing Co2 lacks plausibility.

Householders should be given facilities to separate their waste to facilitate the recycling. Currently all recycling goes in one bag.
Food recycling of scraps should also be possible

Having watched a recent series on BBC1 about our waste, I am appalled to discover that the borough in which I live has such a poor standard in recycling. This needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.

It’s rather upsetting that this is the situation. What’s about compostable waste? There are so many households, who would happily collect food waste too, but unfortunately council does not collect it as a separate item. We live in Wandsworth for only a year and it’s the first place we lived, where recycling is so disregarded. And we lived in many very underprivileged areas, and even there recycling strategy is much more advanced.

Providing an organic waste collection will considerably reduce household waste and also benefits the environment. Many people are not able to compost their organic waste as they have no access to a garden. Providing an alternative organic waste collection is a great idea and a service that will be well used.

I'm appalled that we do not have extensive recycling in place. When we lived in Austria we had separate bins for glass, PET plastic, garden/food/bio-waste, paper, metal & rags! Why can't you do it here?!

I’ve lived in Wandsworth for nearly 10 years and would love to see better recycling in the area. Let’s do this!

In particular, the lack of a separate food recycling element is just not acceptable. We try to compost what we can, but many do not have such an option.

I want to to recycle but getting hold of sacks is so hard. I order online and they never arrive and the library doesn’t stock them anymore. So no wonder Wandsworth is rubbish at recycling!

I have complained about the lack of food waste collection and got what felt like a standard response - implying I am not the only one! So a pilot would be fab!

It’s an absolute disgrace that there isn’t organic waste recycling for households, especially when so many people live in flats without access to a garden or no organic waste disposal facility available in their garden.

Not to have adequate recycling facilities in this day and age in a city like London is laughable (if it wasn't so sad)

Should invest in Food waste, garden waste and deal with the challenges of being an inner London Borough
