. It would be good to see recycling bags issued on the estates, especially the hire rise blocks, which, at the last Council meeting, were blamed for not recycling sufficiently. Why do we not recycle metal and aluminium foil and containers? Why are we not given the facilities for domestic food waste collection? In the Queenstown Ward not many people have gardens and compost bins.

Food recycling should be introduced and a more comprehensive list of recyclable items.

I too regularly see my recycling bags simply thrown in the truck with the regular rubbish bags which is alarming. The collection system does not appear to work.

A full range of recycling facilities should be available for all the different types of household in the borough.

22% is a shocking statistic.

Public recycling bins and even normal bins would help. The streets are covered with litter -old cans, fast food waste etc. We also need better and clearer instruction. I see a lot of non-recyclables being put out for recycling which probably means it all gets thrown in the general waste rather than being sorted.

I report flytipping every week and it's often not collected. Streets are covered in litter. Communal bins are overflowing.

I have many times seen the rubbish collectors throw my carefully selected recycling in with the rubbish. This statistic does not surprise me.

Wandsworth can do better than this. All it takes is the will.
