I actually bought a baby betrayed from Walmart because of the condition the cup was in and next to her was a dead male red crowntale betta sadly which I did not have money to buy her so the next day I asked a friend to lend me money to get her and I did plus a breeder box to have her in my big tank and she has improved alot which I am saving. up to buy her a tank of her own and may get another female betta baby to go with her I'm still thinking about it but I'm tired of seeing the bettas all sick or dead and the employees walk past them everyday currently I have 2 male bettas I rescued plus the baby now and I plan to save more. money I just have to get space first

Please stop the selling those poor fish. They are mistreated everyday, People will be recording the events of fish begin mistreated in Walmart. And there will be recordings of your customers service not able to answer why your selling dead ,sick fish! There will be recording and Pictures of customers mistreating your fish and social media will be filled with what you think are a joke. Because they are small dose not mean there life dose not matter!

I just found the fish in Walmart today. I didn't know Walmart had them! They are not kept how they should be. People who really want a pet fish will seek one out from a pet store or somewhere. Most who would randomly decide to purchase a fish from Walmart will not take good care of it. Seriously....living animals do not belong at Walmart.

I just saw two betta fish sitting on the shelf Insight made me extremely sad these fish are obviously dying or not well in their living in filthy water they don't look like they belong on the Shelf they're just sitting there alone out of place and it makes me sick

Hello, I am contacting to inquire regarding the sale of live animals. I recently visited a Walmart store and I passed by the animal section and encountered a surprising sight. I saw 15 betta fish in plastic containers with water filled up halfway and with completely orange water, barely visible. I had to contact an employee and stacked up the entire sink area with sick bettas on top of each other. I want to report this traumatic encounter I had with this unacceptable treatment towards live fish. I am disappointed in the way Walmart Corporation is treating live animals without the proper research and sanitary care. I would like to request Walmart to please research the necessary water changing conditions for live betta fish without the need to create inhumane living conditions for them as they are living beings who require care. I also didn’t find an employee who specifically was in or monitoring the pet department. I went to the store to buy a betta fish and left upset with emotional trauma from the store. I would appreciate it if my concern will address this situation I encountered and improve the water care and living conditions for Betta fish. It is Walmart's RESPONSIBILITY to improve and offer the best living conditions to live animals to be a reputable and respected company unlike how it's displaying itself. Otherwise, many other animal loving customers will stop going there.

I went to our local Walmart and was shocked and horrified to see many Beta fish on a shelf between products. No light, their water so cloudy red you could not even see them without taking the lid off. The smell from the water was enough to make you sick to your stomach. A little tiny hole in a solid lid prevented air and any form of light. Walmart needs to stop selling Beta Fish

I have my own petition and collecting signatures here in Laramie, WY. Last time I was there, there was only 1 Betta left.......DEAD! I cried. Walmart sells everything!!!!! Why do you have to do this? Please stop selling fish and live animals.

The selling of animals in a store like Walmart is bad enough. The fact that people are ignorant enough to do what they do and don't care enough to help is disgusting and even worse. This is animal abuse for the sake of making Walmart some extra money. Stop supporting these sales.

I hate seeing the living conditions the bettas live in, I will even go so fare as to change out the water. The fact they live in dirty water is terrible on Walmart’s part, get an associate clean the water!!

This absolutely sickens me. I confronted a manager of a Walmart who refused to remove over seven dead fish in one tank! This is most certainly animal abuse.
