Dear Ms. McLaughlin,

We are concerned about the impact that the proposed school budget will have on the educational program at smaller elementary schools. The proposed budget would reduce to half time our Assistant Principal and Technology Specialist. These two professionals provide critical support for teachers and students. In addition, the proposed reductions in classroom teaching positions are alarming on their own, but even more so when you consider that teachers will be facing larger class sizes with significantly reduced support from these two important professionals. We urge you and your colleagues on the School Board to reconsider these proposed reductions and their impact on small schools.
