As an AEA actor who works SPT, LORT, HAT contracts (opening 2/20/15 in END OF THE RAINBOW at ICT), I rely on the 99-seat plan to feed my soul with longer rehearsal periods in large-cast classical plays. I have the privilege of working with actors who work both on-camera and onstage, and whose recognizability brings TV and film employers/casting to see those 99-seat plan shows. This leads to employment. Yes, I am primarily a theater actor, but I need the freedom the 99-seat plan gives me to pursue on-camera employment. Equity, please don't starve me out of my profession!

we have not been heard by equity. We need to go back to the drawing board TOGETHER!!! It is untenable to ask anyone producing theatre in a small venue to do so without a not for profit 501c 3 status. And making this big a leap payment wise is impossible.

How can A.E.A. come up with such a plan as to get rid of the 99-seat plan. This is simply a bad idea. As if things aren't tough enough for equity-waiver, this will kill it ! Keep the art flowing. Keep the passion alive. Don't let A.E.A. get away with this. Please sign !

I am only a few EMC weeks away from AEA membership. I implore you to take Los Angeles area actors feeling to heart. This doesn't adversely effect the leadership of AEA in any way. Let us make art!!!

The 99 seat theatre plan is essential for keeping small theaters and black box theaters in LA thriving...as a former producer of many such shows and a resident of the Noho Arts District it is unconscienable to me that this could happen. New artists and all those who would like the freedom of expression and the ability to take part in these endeavors deserve the right to do so.

Keeping 99 seat theater in LA will mean a world of difference to young artists with the need for creative exploration and experience. 99 seat theater is an essential part of Los Angeles and we need to keep it alive!!

Theater in LA is very different from NYC, and with this change I have no doubt theater will slowly die even more in LA

I am a long time AEA member; though I have been inactive for the last number of years since my kids were born and I began teaching at a public high school, I remain clear that Equity Waver Theatreis a vital part of life in LA.
