Actors Equity Association is about to make a huge mistake. They are in the process of getting rid of the 99-seat plan in Los Angeles. This will, no doubt, kill theatre in LA. I'm an actress who loves theatre. Not for $, but for the passion of creating wonderful art. Please sign this if you are an actor who wants to save all theatre in LA.

The momentum behind this is undeniable. It is clear that the community will not let LA theatre disappear without a fight.

I'm an Equity member who signed the Re-Imagine LA document--because I wanted to have a conversation about actor value and compensation, not because I wanted a drastic and sudden fiat from above to destroy the companies I love.

we have not been heard by equity. We need to go back to the drawing board TOGETHER!!! It is untenable to ask anyone producing theatre in a small venue to do so without a not for profit 501c 3 status. And making this big a leap payment wise is impossible.

I am a member and co-founder of a 501-C3 certified theatre group in Los Angeles whose ability to create new work and raise funds for that purpose would be severely hampered by the proposed plan. Quite frankly it would make what we do impossible. I vehemently oppose.

run theTRIBE, an intimate theatre company that's produced over ten shows in LA County the past five years. We now pay our actors (Equity and Non Equity alike) for 99-seat shows. We would never have gotten our start without 99-waivers.

Member of AEA for over 30 years. I've worked AEA houses all over the country, including New York where I earned my card. I oppose AEA's changes to the Los Angeles 99-Seat Plan, and the "Proposed Opportunities for LA Membership." I will vote NO.

I am an Equity member and oppose the proposal. It reflects a troubling misunderstanding of the concerns of members on all sides of the issue and seems to ignore the comments and suggestions proposed at the open house.

I hope this petition is highly successful in keeping our smaller theatre seats. We need them!
