I stand with these students. This is such poor communication. Communication is key, as well as time. You cant expect A work with no preperation. Communicate better next time.

I agree this is unreasonable, unrealistic, and very stressful in an already uncertain time.

I love going to recitals and and listening and being in awe of the musicianship of the performers. When you ask me to journal about my experience, it forces me to have an entirely different forced and stressed experience, detracting and distracting from the beauty that is music. In times when everything is different and already stressful why add more stress and unnecessary busy work? It's not like your going to sit and read every single journal entry and grade it against a rubric. There isn't money in the budget to pay someone to do that mind-numbing work. One of the biggest issues with transitioning to online schooling is that teachers and professors assume we now have all this extra time so they should assign more busy work. NO being stuck at home does not mean I'm going to spend all of that time on school work that is in the end a meaningless waist of time for everyone and does nothing to better my educational experience. I like going to recitals of my own free will, don't turn my pleasurable listening experience into a trivial assignment.

Was obviously not communicated effectively with students or in a meaningful way. Still hard to figure out the specifics of the assignment and what is expected from the “short detailed paragraph”

The school gave us no information about this long term assignment until 3 days before the due date. It is impossible to complete in this time frame, as it requires recalling specific details about dozens of performances.

Teachers... smh.

I am signing this petition to support the students of this school as it is their right to speak up and get their voice heard. As teachers it is your duty to explain the assignments in a way that will make sure ALL students understand the work they have been assigned. It is unfair for all students to get an assignment that wasn't explained properly.
