Sexual reproductive health is the right of every girl or woman. Let’s take the tax off sanitary pads so women can have their periods in dignity.

Sanitary pads are not luxurious items. A lot more women cannot afford. The use of unhygienic items during one's menstral period lead to various infections that have a ripple effect on our free education for girls, NHIS expenditures, number of people living with infestions, incomes and a whole lot. I humbly entreat our men to join this campaign, Every man has at least a mother, wife, sister, or a female friend. Vulnerable women might not be as fortunate as your female relations and that is why it matters. We entreat our policy makers to make this tax reduction a priority. Thank you

When sanitary pads become affordable for every girl use one, it would go a long way to boost the self esteem of the girl child, leading to high productivity in all aspects of their lives. Let's Support this good cause. it's about time we made the girl child development our priority.

This is absolutely a good initiative and need to be commended. Our girls need help and we all need to come on board to assist

I strongly agree with making sanitary pads tax free...now an 8 in one sanitary pad cost averagely 5ghc..one would need 2 packs for clean menstrual cycle in a month..some young girls wear one pad more than 4 hrs because they can afford only one pack and if they run out no money to buy another pack...this practice in the long run can affect the female reproductive system.

Sanitary pads are very expensive and become more expensive by the day. Majority of women and families are in the low income bracket and cant afford sanitary pads. This consequently and significantly affects girl child education. Girls would not like to go to school when in their menses unless they know they have good protection and wont disgrace themselves. this will also curtail the diverting of funds under the guise of buying pads for school girls. If they are affordable that wont be necessary. Lets support this.Thank you.

Somethings should not attract any tax at all, especially when they cannot be locally produced to meet the huge demand. Sanitary pad is one of them and I support this cause

Change must come immediately for the betterment of the status of Ghanaian females. Monthly cycles can really restrict a woman from going out and being productive

It is really incredulous how these things take place. Really? We are heavily taxing sanitary pads? How do we expect our girls in deprived communities and poor homes to afford? It's a sad situation

Heavy tax on just sanitary pads, this is serious. It should be reduced so that it'll be affordable for all. #stoptaxingwomanhood#
