As alumni, we are proud of the excellent education we have received at Valparaiso University. We fully support VU\'s mission of \"scholarship, freedom, and faith\", and our education has prepared us to \"lead and serve in both church and society.\" This institution has been a blessing and a home to us. Out of deep care for the future of VU, we are distressed about the use of the Crusader as our alma mater

KEEP THE MASCOT. stop trying to change everything about the school just because you are offended by history. leave it alone.

Time for a change. It really doesn't represent the values we were taught and it makes me uncomfortable when I visit campus now.
