According to numerous sources, "Not all good things last forever. At the end of 2012, Virginia Tech will close the vault on the vintage VT and Fighting Gobbler logos. That means no vintage logo merchandise can be reordered after December 31." Virginia Tech was founded as a military school that honored tradition. It has been 140 years since its foundation yet Virginia Tech still surrounds both its motto and many other traditions. Please raise your voice against getting rid of our amazing vintage logos. Branding of a university is important but our history and these logos are a part of our university's brand. By signing this petition, you agree that the vintage logos represent Virginia Tech's history, alumni, and 140 years of tradition. Walking around campus seeing the great popularity of these logos reiterates the fact that getting rid of them seems absurd and heart breaking. Please do not discontinue them.
