Studies who that anyone who can harm domesticated animals in this blithe fashion is only a step from going after another human. Put this sociopath behind bars, where he belongs.

This is exactly why snare traps should never beused again; not to mention this man made his own decision to shoot a family pet. I an outraged he gets 1 count of animal cruelty-

Richard Martin should be severly penalized, held accountable for this negligent, cruel and heinous act. He shoud compensate the owner not only for the sad loss of his loyal friend but also for the emotional suffering his family now endures becuase of this act of violence. The VT Fish and Wildlife office should ban allllll trapping and particularly snare traps (these are absolutely evil, cruel useless) traps that inflict long term suffering and pain to an animal caught in it, They can maim and slowly suffocate an amimla if they free themselves from it and they die a slow gruelin death. Shame on VERMONT to allow this, shame of F&W to not have banned this in our state. time to step up and fight against trapping, animal cruelty and the entiteled reckless behaviour of any individual who thinks they are one: above the law and two: have no compassion or regard for domestic of wild life.
