Many high schools in our area go by a similar agreement to the one we are proposing. We are proposing that if a student in the senior class has a grade of 85 or higher in a class at the time of finals, they will be exempt from taking the final exam for the class. They will still have the option of taking the exam, but they will have the option. We believe that this agreement will boost the progress and growth of students. This will also allow students to spend more time focusing on class exams for subjects that they are struggling in. If they choose to, they will still have the option of taking the final exam or even create a project that discusses what they have learned in the class. Final exams are a stressful time and teens are most well known as being riddled with anxiety. The overall goal for this petition is to limit stress for students and encourage them to work as hard as possible in each if their classes. Thank you!
