Vouch for Bryan "Mucka" Ettridge' s honesty and integrity

It is disgraceful that 20 years of service is being jeopardized over a misunderstanding over bloody taxi vouchers. Bryan is entitled to better treatment, shame on you Rio Tinto. A hardworking family man who has always been of good character, sound morals and an all round good bloke.

Mucka, Mentor for alot of guys that are around my age when growing up playing footy and a role model to say the least. Loyal, fare and honest to put it short and sweet. If this is how you treat an employee that has these charactoristics well its sad to say the outlook for RIO isn't the best. 110% got your back Mucka, Just like I did on the footy field mate. Chunks

Let's hope that someone sees sense! If anything is required, it may be an explanation as to why the cab vouchers weren't supplied when needed and why they were supplied later if they weren't to be used! Good luck guys.

Bryan is a great friend, mate and former colleague. In the past 12 years since meeting him I have never once questioned his integrity or honesty and in fact look to him as a mentor. As former Rio Tinto employee I am disappointed that the company has taken this action. Kris

I have know this man for over 20 years and he would never do anything manipulative against his employer! This is an absolute disgrace that they would even be looking at this let alone jeopodising his career!!!

I have known Mucka and his family for 25 years. I can vouch for his honesty and loyalty which extends to family friends and his employer. 20 years of loyalty to his employer is a great effort. Good luck Mucka xx

What a load of BS! I met Mucka 20 years ago and he and his wife were among the kindest, most welcoming and utterly decent people I met there. Rio Tinto should hang their heads in shame.

That's unacceptable behaviour from.rio tinto a written warning would have done it, I'm only a 1st year apprentice and i know that's unfair!

Used the taxi vouchers ONE time not over & over & over again. Did he get reimbursed the fuel money for using his own car for the meeting. Im guessing that would be a no. Unbelieveable really...... but not at the same time. Rio is quiet renowned for this type of thing. My dad worked for HI for nearly 30 years & got shafted over personal disagreements with his new manager....... good luck Mucka.

Surely a warning would be more appropriate for a first offence? Cant believe that one mistake could mean termination for a bloke that has given up so much time with his beautiful family to work FIFO for Rio. Best of luck, Mucka..

I went to school with this man and spent 14 years in tom price I know him to be an up standing member of the community he would be a loss to the company .

Sounds like Rio are just trying to get out of a potential golden hand shake.
