Bryan has been an employee of Rio Tinto for 20 years with an exemplary record , without misdemeanour, but now finds himself facing the prospect of termination for allegedly misusing cab vouchers.
Having been approved to receive cab vouchers to attend a work meeting in the city from his place of residence in Gidgegannup, he decided to drive his own vehicle as he was yet to be in possession of the vouchers, and the fact that it was evident a taxi was not going to arrive to collect him on time, therefore it would have made him late for the compulsory meeting.
At a later date on a personal outing, and having not claimed reimbursement for the use of his personal vehicle through the Rio Tinto system, he has used the cab vouchers that were now in his possession after reasoning that it would be fair and just to do so based on the fact that the trip was shorter than the initial work related trip and therefore the company would not be disadvantaged. At no stage did Bryan believe he was acting dishonestly or in contradiction to company policies.
Despite his excellent untarnished standing within the Rio Tinto organisation of 20 years, respect from his peers, his team members and the communities of which he and his family have resided, his actions, which he has at no stage denied, have caused the company to consider terminating his employment.
If you are willing to vouch for his honesty, loyalty, trust, integrity, reliability, accountability and support him as a quality person who has unintentionally breached a company policy and should not be terminated, then please sign and pass on this petition.

Let's hope that someone sees sense! If anything is required, it may be an explanation as to why the cab vouchers weren't supplied when needed and why they were supplied later if they weren't to be used! Good luck guys.
Bryan is a great friend, mate and former colleague. In the past 12 years since meeting him I have never once questioned his integrity or honesty and in fact look to him as a mentor. As former Rio Tinto employee I am disappointed that the company has taken this action. Kris
Surely a warning would be more appropriate for a first offence? Cant believe that one mistake could mean termination for a bloke that has given up so much time with his beautiful family to work FIFO for Rio. Best of luck, Mucka..
Known Mucka for approximately 10 years and have worked with him at Rio Tinto. Mucka is an upstanding person who is a great community servant as well as a role model for young people making their way into there way into the work place. There is no doubt that Mucka's integrity is pure and just.
My Uncle Mucka has always been a fantastic family man and role model to myself and all of my brothers and cousins. He is a genuine, honest and hard working individual who holds the true respect of his community, friends and family. An upstanding man and much loved family member.
Mucka, Mentor for alot of guys that are around my age when growing up playing footy and a role model to say the least. Loyal, fare and honest to put it short and sweet. If this is how you treat an employee that has these charactoristics well its sad to say the outlook for RIO isn't the best. 110% got your back Mucka, Just like I did on the footy field mate. Chunks
I have know this man for over 20 years and he would never do anything manipulative against his employer! This is an absolute disgrace that they would even be looking at this let alone jeopodising his career!!!

It is disgraceful that 20 years of service is being jeopardized over a misunderstanding over bloody taxi vouchers. Bryan is entitled to better treatment, shame on you Rio Tinto. A hardworking family man who has always been of good character, sound morals and an all round good bloke.
