We, the undersigned members of the community, family, and associates of GERARD VAN DER HEEVER, respectfully submit this petition in support of his application for release on bail.

Contrary to any assertions that his release would pose a threat to public order or the interests of justice, we wish to formally attest to the following:
1. Strong Community Ties: GERARD is a long-standing member of the Rooigrond, Mafikeng, Lichtenburg, Buhrmannesdrif community with a fixed residential address at Rooigrond Princess Street Plot 4
2. Employment and Responsibility: He is a Mechanic and the primary Provider for his family. His continued detention places an undue hardship on his dependents.
Character and Conduct: We know the accused to be a person of piece of mind, harworking, good hearted, peaceful, a guy with little words and a loving character. We have full confidence that he will adhere to all bail conditions imposed by this Court.
3. Non-Flight Risk: We believe there is no risk of the accused absconding, as his entire support network and livelihood are rooted within this jurisdiction.

We respectfully request that the Court considers this collective voice of the community and grants bail, allowing Gerard Van Der Heever to prepare his legal defence from home while maintaining his family responsibilities.
