This petition was set up to show appreciation to the most helpful and amazing member of the staff at the University of Bedfordshire - Ian Marshall. Today (June 16, 2011), I came across the information that Ian is about to be made redundant.

There are many people, who turned to Ian for help with all issues, no matter what was happening - because he was the only person who cared enough and was willing to spend time to personally help students with issues regarding their studies. Even if these issues were not within his competence - he always tried his best to give valuable support and advice.

There is NO WAY any other person (and definitely not a computerized program such as SID) can ever replace his work, the way he always dealt with student problems and always found time for anybody who needed help.

So please sign this petition and use the comment box to write your personal experience with Ian and explain why do you think he is so irreplaceable!
