Vote4SaudiWomen
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been ranked 134 out of 145 countries by the World Economic Forum in its Global Gender Gap Report 2015. Until very recently, women did not even have their own national ID cards. Still today, they cannot be called by name and are only known as « daughter of », « wife of » or « mother of ». But this is about to change.
On December 12th of 2015, it will be the first time that women will have the right to vote and be candidates. This is a major advance. Yet, the situation is not satisfying: many women were not able to register and the campaigning procedures are clearly discriminatory.
