It seems obvious that the artist actually deserves more then those who profit from his art

Evidently management does not get the idea of have a group of virtuosos that have given their life to music as to enhance the community.Musicians have more training than a brain surgeon. That should mean something I would think.

As a retired member of PSO, I can attest to the urgency of this issue for these fine musicians.

These musicians are a valuable asset to the community and deserve a contract.

One reason I have donated my services to the PSO for 25+ years is so that the money that would go to my services would go to support a living wage for PSO musicians. Please work something out that is fair for all concerned. Satisfied musicians needed for great music.

It is long overdue that the PSO musicians be recognized for their role in creating a World-Class Orchestra. The PSO has received incomparable recognition for artistry & educational programs and the level of musicianship is at the top of the field. It is incomprehensible that these musicians STILL lack a full-time contract after 38 years of incredible performances & giving to the community. The tide needs to turn now.

An orchestra of the Pacific Symphony's size and caliber deserves to be compensated on par with similar orchestras.

The Pacific Symphony and its programs were an integral part of my musical education. They deserve to be compensated fairly!

As a freelancer working for several other regional orchestras with budgets far below the level of the Pacific Symphony, I can't believe that this organization cannot afford to provide some sort of guarantee to the people who make the product. Most of the other orchestras I work for do have service guarantees or salaries, even with budgets much smaller than the PSO's! If you want full-time professional musicians playing onstage, you need to pay a living wage, period. There are only so many hours in a day, and guess what gets sacrificed if your musicians have to scramble for other work to make a living? Practicing. And what gets sacrificed when your musicians don't have time to practice? Quality.

PSO musicians should be treated the same as musicians in orchestras in comparable markets. The orchestra is an Orange County community treasure. The per service era must end!!

It's a shame that management doesn't have the skills to produce more concerts for our community. Other orchestras with similar budgets are generating twice the number services.
