With ONLY 839 votes in the last General Election and no mention in his manifesto Brehaut has no mandate for this dictatorial behaviour.

All speed limits should be reviewed according to road width, condition of road and proximity of schools. Not an arbritary decision against the views of the population.

Stupid idea designed to cause more congestion, pollution and accidents too due to frustration. A needless waste of time and money. Time to stand down E&I.

I am in favour of improving road safety, however the recent changes will have very limited effect and what improvements they might deliver will be outweighed many fold by the disadvantages. The States needs to look at every road on the island, not just those that fit a certain rule. There are many tiny lanes with a 35MPH limit so reduce those, not main thoroughfares where there is adequate visibility and no real risk exists.

Changing the speed limits will resolve absolutely nothing, you will always and forever have a small majority of idiot drivers with no consideration for safety or speed limits.

55% is a majority vote, and is against this. Slower speeds will lead to more accidents, higher fuel consumption and added problem running cars due low speeds.
