What about introducing a 12mph limit on cyclists riding adjacent to pedestrians. This may save injury or loss of life.

Never have I once heard a good thing said about Barry Brehauts decisions and thays exactly what they are, his decisions. We the public of Guernsey are not being listened to and its time to get rid of these deputies. First the ridiculous idea to pull down a huge s section of anti tank wall at Lancresse at a cost over 2 million pounds and now reducing the speed limit to 25mph on some 80 odd roads. The fact is his mind was already made up about this before we got a look in. I urge anyone who thinks the same to sign this petition

This decision is a snide way of increasing tax revenue because at slower speeds a vehicle is in a lower gear and thus burns more fuel.. Similarly it will increase pollution, especially in respect of the oxides of nitrogen. One must also question whether the committee carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment.

Rumor has it they ordered new 35 mph signs but a typo meant they got a shed load of 25 instead They tried off loading them on the the other mistake they made the Town seafront funny how that's all been hushed up..... hence We will lower the speed limit to cover our mistake. If it ain't broke leave it alone. Also if you want push bikes on the road. They should be road legal i.e lights bells road tax oh and keep to the speed limit... Rant over.!?

Cars and bikes are harder to ride at lower speeds and often at higher revs in a lower gear resulting in even higher emissions

Changing speed limits is a total farce, it will do nothing to reduce road accidents or change the way people move around the Island.
