We are purchasing land on Douglas Lane across from the drive of the proposed venue. We purposefully chose a family site in the country so that we could enjoy the peace and solitude with our family. Not only could a business located in the middle of a residential area have a negative impact on property values but the increased traffic volume would impose significant danger to the many joggers, bikers and hikers that daily utilize Douglas Lane. This plus the impact on local traffic of the families that call this area home. If these restrictions are lifted literally hundreds of thousands of dollars of investments in property and homes will be impacted. I strongly oppose these changes as petitioned.

We moved out here for the reasons listed above. We bike and run on this road and our children will learn to drive on this road.  We vote NO because our road does not need this traffic and does not benefit our neighbors. 250+ guests on a weekly basis, and quite possibly leaving a party under the influence of alcohol on our sweet road are not a good idea.  This is only to benefit the residents at 588 Douglas, with no regard to the wonderful community on Douglas Lane.

I vote NO. We do not need anymore traffic on the road.

We recently purchased an adjoining 5.13 acre piece of property (from the same land sale of the Douglas Estate). We are starting to build our home on this lot. We bought this for the purpose of "quiet" residential place to retire. There were neighborhood restrictions in place protecting the homeowners. If we had known that an adjoining property could potentially be rezoned for a commercial wedding venue, we never would have purchased.
