This is a bill that is not addressing the actual problems. Giving poorly run districts more money to waste will not solve the problem that exists in funded schools. If the State of Illinois paid the % of education money they actually said they would to all the districts and we will be in a better situation.

I am a resident of Orland Park, IL. My son just started first grade in Center school of school district 135. We moved to Orland Park 2 years ago, just for the school district. We pay approximately 15000$ in property taxes every year, just for the school district. Me and my husband work very hard to give our kids decent education and it's not fair to distribute our tax dollars to other school districts. I want to express my concern over the Senate bill 16 and vote NO for it. I don't want funding for my kids' education to be decreased. The state needs to come up with some other solution to increase funding of the low income school districts. Please understand consider our pl
