We, the undersigned Parents of children who are or have attended Lone Tree Community School along with the support of other community members, have composed this letter to express our dissatisfaction with the proposed plan of 50/50 Operational Sharing with the specific concern about sharing our Superintendent, Mr. Crawford.

This letter is an expression of our stance against the proposal to share Superintendent responsibilities equally with a neighboring school district. We do not believe that a Superintendent has the ability to run our school efficiently and effectively in just 20 hours of work each week. The reduced attention to Lone Tree School District will have significant impact and we urge School Board members to weigh this decision carefully. The severity of this proposed change will impact the financial and cultural wellbeing of our school and community for years to come.

Lone Tree Community School has always been a district to be proud of, one where decisions were made on a collaborative basis with transparency and the best interest of our students in mind. Lone Tree is a district that benefited from great vision from our leaders, and teachers who are supported in order to achieve our collective goals. Ensuring that our school is well-managed by the Superintendent -- the most important position in our district -- is crucial to continuing our tradition of greatness.

For these reasons stated, we the undersigned are standing together against the proposal for a 50/50 Operational Sharing arrangement. We believe that you the board will make the right decision and choose what is in the best interest for our community, school, and children. Our voices need to be heard!

The response to this campaign has been overwhelming and honestly exhausting to keep up with. It is clear that I am not the only one deeply worried about the future of our school district.

our kids deserve someone who is actually present. 20 hours is not enough to run a school district properly. this is a huge mistake for our community.

bad move for the district. we need full focus on our students and not someone running between two places. listen to the parents.

Ridiculous idea. You cant cut corners on the superintendent and expect the school to stay the same. Stop this now.

Lone tree needs a full time leader. Mr crawford has done good things and splitting his time is just going to hurt everyone.

NO! Keep our leadership local. Our school has always been strong and this will just start a decline we cant fix later.
