Quality of education is what will set these kids apart and competitive in life. This is not the place to compromise.

Our children deserve the best education we can provide. Instructional assistants help our children learn and provide individual attention a single teacher is not capable of providing. Londonderry is known for good schools, we should continue to make that a priority.

Educational assistants at the elementary level are a vital support to the teachers. Our elementary schools are highly ranked and keeping the educational assistants will ensure our educational quality continues.

I am a Londonderry mom and a teacher. Instructional assistants are a necessity in order to have a productive classroom and engaged students. We should always be looking to increase the number of instructional assistants, never to cut them from the budget. If we want the best for our children, we need to offer them the most effective education. Assistants are not a luxury, they are a crucial part of the educational process.

There is nothing more important in this world than our children. We should give them the best we can and these roles are critical and ultimately benefit our children.

Assistants are very important in the classroom. I was one, and I'm thankful that my children had the benefit on one when they were in elementary school. Please allocate the funds to keep educational assistants in the classroom.

I have seen first hand the advantage of having instructional assistants in the classroom. As a mother of four, my two older children benefited greatly from the smaller groups, and more individualized attention. Since assistants hours were cut 3 years ago, I have noticed that my younger children have not had the same benefits my older children got. Our tax bill has not gone down, yet the support we give our teachers (which in turn affects our students) has. I strongly feel that with the changes in curriculum and more pressure on teachers to teach to "Common Core" regulations, it is our job as parents and tax payers to vote to support teachers and students in whatever way we can. Keeping the Instructional Assistants is a low, cost effective way to give the students a boost in the early formative years. This will only help them be better students in the future. Well worth the increase of .04 cents in my opinion!
