We moved to Bonsall in 1997 because of this wonderful community. The golf course has been a main attraction to Bonsall. I am a member of this course and enjoy seeing students practicing hear. This course is used by many different groups. This course is an asset to the community and home owners. Golf is rated a the 6th most popular sport in the US and gaining popularity despites what one comment was from a meeting participant in favor of the destruction.

I am a 10 year Bonsall resident who ia against the Mitigation Bank and the closure of San Luis Rey Downs Golf Course. As a horse farm owner in an area where horses and riding are a part of the fabric of the Bonsall community, I am saddened by the very real threat of having our riverbed trails fenced off so that we will be trespassers on trails that have been available to us forever. We have born the inconvenience and habitat destruction with the widening of the 76 freeway, please don't make us endure the destruction and the dredging of this gem in our community. They are wecking an existing habitat for wildlife so they can go and destroy a habitat elsewhere, and make money doing it. Their monetry gain is our communities loss. The lakes and ponds on the Golf Course were used by fire fighting helicopters to scoop water to fight our local fires. Can't get water from a swamp.

Please save this beautiful golf course. It will serve a lot more people than a restricted government run wetlands. I agree that with the loss of SLRD golf course, our community will decline in beauty and financial value.

As a property owner in Bonsall for nearly 10 years I would like to take this opportunity to express my strongest opposition to the proposal for sacrificing this lovely golf course for purposes of creating a mitigation bank to provide for development SOME WHERE ELSE! That does not make sense. Keep our golf course and keep Bonsall beautiful.

We do not want an "eyesore "(swamp-'cause that IS what it is) that close to my home. It not only creates bugs, mosquitos, et., it LOOKS bad. It certainly will lower property values in the whole area.

The SLRD gofl course is the foci of the Bonsall community. With the loss of that community gem, community depression and deterioration will be the foci.

Among multivarious other issues, one of the impacts of destroying San Luis Rey Downs Golf Course will be increased need for fire suppression. Note the Witch Creek fire and the devastation caused by the fuel source found by the fire in the creek areas. Fire risk is huge and Moosa Creek llc will be responsible.

I am a lover of nature and the outdoors, but I do not see any sense in destroying a lovely area that will lower property values in our area, and allow developers to destroy existing wetlands somewhere else.

I moved my family from Huntington Beach in 1978 because of a similar scenario. I could ride all the way to the beach from my home, until the developers took over and closed down most of the trails that lead to the ocean. And now it appears to be happening in Bonsall. SLRD golf course was flooded and shut down for quite a few years back in the early eighty's and I remember it was devastating to property values, especially those located on or near the actual course. This is worth fighting for.

I have lived in Fallbrook most of my life and had the privilege of being able to ride off my property but it is now becoming something I can't do. We need to keep these areas close to us for the horse community and health conscious people to be able to enjoy and use. The golf course has been here as long as I can remember and I moved to Fallbrook as a little girl. Please don't take our access to these trails away.
