The new iPod classic would be an awesome player (and one of the very best on the market) if Apple could offer a few software implementations. This could include lossless playback (SHN/FLAC), a customizable EQ or one that can be updated through iTunes, TV out with any generic cable (like the last iPod 5G) and more stable firmware - and removing the horrible screen saver so many of us do not wish to be there, or include an option to turn it on or off. It would also remove the need for third-party hacking which is not looked upon well by Apple. We also wish to be told in future what specific bug fixes are for products right across the Apple range (for Mac, iPod, AppleTV, Safari...), and not just told to visit a page where it\'s impossible to find it, if at all.
