Subject: Urgent Request to Reinstate Voice of America Persian Service

Dear President Trump,

I am writing to you on behalf of millions of Iranians, both inside Iran and across the diaspora, to urgently request the reinstatement of the Voice of America (VOA) Persian service. For over four decades, this channel has been the only legitimate and reliable source of news for the Iranian people under the oppressive rule of the Islamic Republic.

The decision to halt VOA Persian’s operations has left 85 million Iranians inside Iran and approximately 10 million Iranians living abroad without access to critical and accurate information. The Islamic Republic thrives on misinformation, censorship, and the suppression of free speech. By shutting down VOA Persian, the only entity that benefits is this authoritarian regime, which continues to export terrorism and destabilize the region.

VOA Persian was not just a news channel; it was a beacon of hope, a source of truth, and a platform for Iranians to unite against tyranny. It played a pivotal role in exposing the regime’s corruption, human rights violations, and terrorist activities to the world. Without this essential service, the Islamic Republic will have a stronger hold on its propaganda machine, silencing opposition voices and further suppressing the people’s movement for freedom.

We respectfully urge you to reconsider this decision and restore VOA Persian’s operations as soon as possible. The Iranian people rely on this vital platform to stay informed, to organize, and to continue their fight against a brutal dictatorship. The free world cannot afford to abandon them now.
