Such sewerage plants are completely inappropriate when a valid option is so readily available. It is an option which benefits the land with compost and doesn't pollute or poison the waters. Composting toilets are such an obvious and proven solution for those living there as well as for potential tourism anywhere in PNG .

So unnecessary.
Sewerage plants are old technology which PNG can leap frog. Just as mobile communications means developing countries don't have to invest in above ground poles-and-wires telephony networks, dry composting toilets avoids the need for sewage plants. Plus protecting the environment, providing nutrient rich material to accelerate planting (and hence food security)...plus a host of invaluable social benefits.
Wantaim PNG. You deserve better.

I was happy with the project as it was going to provide many more jobs and also as it was a sign that Kokopo is growing but now that I hear that it's costs outweigh it's benefits, I cannot allow it. Especially if the environment is whats on the line. The environment has been hurt so much, let's not add to it.
