The Principal finally relented and gave us the green light to form our official alumni association. We forced them to listen and now we have the space to build this network for every VMSian. Keep your eyes peeled for the first meeting invitation because we are just getting started.

Final supporters
Dear Principal Sister,
We, students of VMS, are all proud of our alma mater – the institution our home – Vivekananda Mission School. We have spent the best days of our lives under the careful nurturing of the teachers and the non-teaching staff there. Now, most of us are in different cities, and some in different countries; we miss our school, we miss our friends and we miss our teachers.
The school had prepared the launching ground for us, beyond which we all took flight. Now, we want to come back to the school, again – not as students – but as faithfuls. We wish to create a network for all VMSians which will act as a meeting and greeting ground for the old students, and a fine web of support for all present students.
Beyond VMS, we all went to prime institutions for our education, and are now placed in different industries across India and the world, in varying positions.
By nurturing the present students, we mean we can give them career counselling lectures at school; by sharing our experiences, we can aid them in applying for jobs and securing the same in elite institutions; we can recommend them to premier institutions, as some of us are well-placed in education sectors as well. The possibilities are limitless. Also, there’s the added benefit of the old VMS camaraderie- we can share over a cup of tea followed by lunch, and friends will be meeting after several years – even decades – to revel in childhood joy again.
Also, money collected by the old students' association can be used for helping the school, or a charity, if the school decides such, as we know that the mission of our school was to help others and give back to society.

We hit 100 signatures and the school administration is still acting like we are invisible. It is pathetic that our own alma mater refuses to acknowledge a simple request to connect its own alumni. We are not stopping until they listen.

I am from ICSE Batch of 2004 and ISC batch of 2006. Please give us the platform which we can use to nurture new students as well cherish the memories of our golden days.
a realy great initiative ..it will not only help the current students in vms ,but also ex students like us who are persuing our grads to come in contact with other ex students who are placed in different sectors ..and also further higher studies.
Joined the Kalicharan Datta road premise in 1981, whizzed past the 80s and half of 90s till Madhyamik in 1994, now based in Munich, Germany
Great initiative. but it will be better i feel to have the name as former or ex students association. We all are so young still

I belong to 1988 batch and was involved in a couple of initiatives to form an association, but they petered out, I hope this one takes shape,
