In my four years of experience as a student in the Visual Design shop at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, I have never experienced or witnessed malicious violence of any kind from the instructor, Mr. Panayakul. Mr. Panayakul would never put a student in harms way. Mr. Panayakul always ensured that the atmosphere in the shop was fun, comfortable, and a safe place for creative engagement; all things very significant in an artistic and creative workplace. If any form of physical contact was ever ensued, it was never out of malicious, violent, or inappropriate intent. Never have I felt unsafe or uncomfortable with Mr. Panayakul as my teacher. Mr. Panayakul was a tough teacher in aspects of art and the work we were to do, but it only made us more successful as students. Without him, we would not be the artists we are today.

The administration remains silent regarding my requests for a formal meeting about this situation. Send an email to the school principal today and demand they recognize our perspective on Mr. Panayakul.

The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and shows how much this community values Mr. Panayakul. Now is the time to turn this energy into action by emailing the school board members to demand his return. Make sure your local representatives hear exactly why this teacher belongs in our classroom.

Ridiculous. Mr Panayakul taught me everything I know about design. He was fair and respectful to every single one of us.

He was the best teacher I had 4 years there. Always pushed us to do better and never crossed the line. Keep him!

This is so unfair. He honestly cares about his students and wants us to succeed in the real world. Total nonsense.

I never felt unsafe in that shop. He just had high standards for our work and we are better for it.

GNB is losing a great teacher. He was tough but he was fair. Stop targeting him.
