I guess that the city is probably trying to create revenue with a zip line. But think about the liability costs as opposed to encouraging STEM activities. If anything, put is come concreet launch pads for the kids. By the way model rockets are a lot safer than a zip line.

As a rocket flyer and TARC mentor (as well as robotics mentor), there is just no way to tell you how important these activities are to further the students STEM education...

Please do not go forward with the Zip Line. If the zip line goes in there will no reason for me to go back to Vista View.
I have enjoyed rocketry for well over 40 years. Every month new people show up with kids. Some day those kids will be contributing members of society. Would you rather have them play video games all day inside or spend the day outside interacting with people? Maybe one of those kids will grow to make a revolutionary discovery.
Please. No Zip Line.

Please let the boyscouts use the field for rock launches, my was a part of this great event, and I think other scouts and parents should experience the same events, thanks.

ZIP Lines are fun,so is STEM events involving schools,Civil Air Patrol,Boy & Girl scouts,just ask Bill Nye,the Science Guy.orMyth Busters

I am a former Plantation High student who participated in TARC launches at Vista View Park. The events boosted the quality of my overall education and provided great team-building exercises, and I hold them as some of my finest memories. I am certain that they also serve identical functions to many other former and current students.... students who represent the future of our state, our nation, and our world. For the sake of sustained excellence, I believe that the policy makers who govern Vista View Park should continue to allow rocket launches to be set on park facilities.

My son and I have used this park for recreational launches. My son has gone on the use the same park for testing rockets to compete in national NASA rocketry events. He is graduating this fall as an engineer. This site was part of his development into his future. I know a zip line would not have had the same effect.

I am one of the people who run Broward Area Rocketry NAR Section # 717 and it would be a shame to lose our field at Vista View Park for a dangerous activity known as Zip Lining.
Model Rocketry has been around for well over 60 years now while Zip Lining is just another Fad.
I do know from experience that Vista View Park is very concerned about Liability to the County and that is why I cannot understand what they would even consider putting in a Zip Line knowing how many injuries are causes by using them.
