If this is something that can truly remain virtual then I think that it can be extremely valuable to those students struggling to make connections. The lack of socialization for those that have have followed the guidelines as requested, have taken a toll on these individuals.

So many other schools have safely completed sorority rush online (Rutgers, St.Joe’s, Univ of Southern California)... no reason not to do it!

The recruitment process will further unify the students. With the lack of social events the mental state of our children has deteriorated. Friendship and a sense of belonging is so important during this challenging time.
The recruitment process which takes countless hours to put together is all virtual.
My freshman daughter has limited in-person classes and therefore has not met too many students besides her roommate. Please allow recruitment to continue so that she can make some new connections that is so important to all the students.
Thank you for all your efforts and move the recruitment process forward.

The students need balance and to connect- even if remotely. Safety is important- but rushing by zoom should be reinstated ASAP.

My freshman daughter is struggling seriously to meet and engage in this terrible year. I fear she will not want to return if this continues. I get community first, but the mental health of our students needs to be part of that.

As a parent and alum I am furious that the school is taking away the one thing the girls had to look forward to. This can be done online and safely.

Rush is an event so many students look forward to-especially this year. There has to be a way to do it safely.

I know these are difficult times - I am hopeful that Villanova will allow these students the ability to join a group and feel connected virtually.

I believe the students should continue with recruitment if it will be virtual. They need some normal sense of college life.
