A Vietnam Veteran has had his VA Disability check stopped because when he turned 65 in 2013, he was told by social security office that he was entitled to collect both his VA check and social security check.
To be sure that this was true he called the Coatesville Veterans Affairs in Pennsylvania and spoke with a representative. They spoke for abut an hour on phone, questions back and forth. When all questions were answered the man told him YES he was entitled to collect both checks.
This representative gave him wrong information. Two years and 8 months later the VA stopped his VA check and told him he owes them $30 thousand dollars!! This is just wrong to do this to a Veteran.
Why not give him his VA check and take his social security check away. Why should he pay for a VA representative's mistaken information!
I called the VA Veterans Affairs and ask that they listen to the recorded conversation but the man told me he could not do that! Sounds fishy to me.
Please sign this petition to help a Vietnam Veteran. Thank you

My brother was a Viet Nam vet who passed away 3 yrs ago leaving 3 young children under 16. He was on full VA disability. It took 34 months for his widow to receive the VA benefits (everything stopped when he died) for the kids. And only because she kept calling and showing up at Marco Rubios office. The system is a mess.
