A judicial proceeding, order, or injunction is said to be ex parte when it is taken or granted at the instance and for the benefit of one party only and without notice to or contestation by, any person adversely interested.

Far from violating the Constitution, the ex parte proceeding is a lasting illustration of the "elasticity" of due process. This specific type of hearing must no longer be awarded as an option in cases involving the fatality of a citizen, at the hands of an civil servant.

Black men are being executed on camera and they are not represented when their killers face the law. Resulting in an endless cycle of public outrage. Just as the WhiteHouse website requires we will gather 100,000 signatures in 30 days to take this silent option off the table.

Enough is enough. how can we have justice when the victims dont even get a seat at the table? fix this system because my family is tired of watching killers walk free

Change is required before it's no longer an option. Fearing for my life is one thing but the knowledge that my wrongful demise would go unpunished is unacceptable
