Veterinary Regulation & Pet Owner Rights

We want all animals that require overnight or out-of-hours hospitalisation at any veterinary surgery to be continuously monitored by qualified staff and for owners/ family to be allowed access to their pet at any time during the period of hospitalisation. 3. The profession must be responsible for ensuring that every veterinary practice meets acceptable standards. As consumers we pay into a multi-million pound industry and yet we and our animals have no rights or recourse. Therefore we want a completely impartial body to deal with veterinary negligence and misconduct.
