I am guessing the capital building will uninstall their metal detectors so they can allow guns to enter. What? No. Huh.

I'd like to know when the rights of the public not to be put in harms way by careless gun owners will matter?

This proposed law is a ridiculous overreach and will turn into a giant waste of tax payer money. This proposal does not adhere to the Republican principles of limited government or fiscal responsibility and no one but the NRA wants it. Stand up and veto this, Gov. Haslam.

As a constituent in 37067, I have been proud of the work you've done as Governor of Tennessee. Please keep up the positive momentum and don't allow bad legislation to pass. Thank you!

Too many news reports of shootings in and around Nashville every day. More guns do NOT spell more safety, rather the reverse!

This bill makes us less safe, not more safe. Our police are against this, and it keeps them from identifying who the real threat is in active shooter, but also makes it more dangerous for friendly fire. Cities and venues, especially where alcohol are served or where kids are gathered, should be able to decide when firearms should be illegal. It is a public safety issue and I and my family also have rights to public welfare, making it safe for us. Lax gun laws cause more problems.
