Well regulated means in functional and working order - it does not mean restricted into irrelevance. The 2nd Amendment is the bedrock that secures all others in the Bill of Rights.

Dictatorial regimes always attacked three rights guaranteed in our Constitution: Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, and the right to bear Arms. I steadfastly refused to give up or relinquish anyone of the three and I have fought to defend these rights for others and will continue to do so.

Being armed is all that keeps us from being relegated to slaves. Millions upon millions killed by tyrants cry out from the grave to warn us not to give up the arms that tyrants fear and that protect every other right we have. Molon Labe!

It is very hypocritical of all the elitist ... Petraeus, McChrystal, Clinton, Schumer, Bloomberg, etc. ... who either possess an unrestricted CCW or have a four-person PSD with them at all times. We, The People in their eyes are not to be trusted with weapons, despite the fact that most who have signed this petition have experienced CQB and have used "gun violence" in defense of self and innocent others (or in combat against an enemy): all lawful and good uses of firearms. Secondly, the Second Amendment is not about hunting rights, sporting clays or play time. It is solely written to give Citizens the same firearms as the standing Army. Over 100 million people were murdered by collectivist governments in the 20th Century (Hitler killed 12 million; Stalin 30 million; Mao 60 million; and, PolPot 4 million) all in attempts to "make socialism work." If folks in the 21st Century do not think this is possible again, they have not read history. Or, they have, and their motives for disarming us are then trebly disturbing.
