As someone who spent 21 years of active duty I hope you will leave the Second Amendment in its present form. Society is now in danger from an outside evil group who want to destroy us. Please do not disarm us!

As the mother of a child who was murdered and a daughter of a father who was murdered I'm aware how much individual citizens need a gun to be able to protect them selves.

I swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic and that oath had no expiration date. If you took that oath you MUST fight ANY person or institution that tries to deny that right guaranteed by the Second Amendment.

There is never a good excuse or logical reason to attempt to restrict and/or eliminate a Constitutionally guaranteed right. Any military member, past or present, who would endorse any effort to do so is an embarrassment to the uniform they wore.

It is among my greatest fears that the misinformed will push forth and attempt to destroy the 2nd Amendment and in doing so will bring forth another civil war to our shores. For when that day comes I, as a veteran, know which side of the battle lines I will stand as will the majority of my brothers and sisters.
