I think this is important because some students may have family members that are in the military or were in the military and they may want to spend this day with them thanking them for their service and learning what they did and or are doing. Another reason is we have Labor day, Martin Luther King day, and Presidents day off but not veterans I would say Veterans day is as important if not more important than these other holidays. Think about it we take a day off for labor day,Martin Luther King day, and Presidents day off but not veterans I would say Veterans day is as important if not more important than these other holidays. Think about it we take a day off for a labor movement, a day for a movement in the right direction for segregation,and for our presidents but we go to school on a day for Veterans who have fought for our country since the first war some give their lives to keep this country free but we still go to school.
